PAINTINGS

At this point, I do not have any background in painting other than color theory and design concept. I will be taking a painting class in Fall 2019, but up this this point, I am self taught. Therefore, I usually paint for fun. I know that my paintings aren't my forte, but I still enjoy trying. :)

2D SYNTHESIS FINAL PROJECT

April 25th 2019

This project was a continuation of my midterm concept below. This was the first time I learned about color temperature, and I was pretty satisfied with the result. This is also the largest painting I have made, it is 4ft x 3ft.

2D SYNTHESIS MIDTERM REVIEW

January-March 2019

This project is about the effects of depression on the brain as a result of losing a loved one to cancer. My references included photos of brain scans and cancer cells. I was pretty satisfied with the outcome of the project.

CGSL MURAL

Summer, 2018

I was asked to paint this on a large rock at my local Softball field. This was a little out of my comfort zone, but I was really happy with the result!

DESIGN I FINAL PROJECT

Fall, 2018

For this project, our professor gave us a line of poetry he wrote, and we had to interpret it in the form of a 2D piece of work. My line was, "A dark abyss; a discarded treasure hums from within the fold" It was a pretty interesting project with a pretty interesting outcome. I liked it, my class liked, and my professor liked it. Everyone's happy.

SIENNA

Fall 2017

This painting is one of my most most successful. (in my opinion) I had just learned a lot in my Design I class about color mixing and paint application and created this from a photo of my dog. It was a gift for my mom, and she really liked it :)

TWO IDENTICAL PAINTINGS

Fall, 2017

The paintings on the top are the actual paintings I made with no filter. One is in black and white, and one is done in reds and greens. (complimentary colors) The bottom two paintings have a tonal filter applied to show how the tones of both paintings are meant to be identical. This was a pretty cool project, and it took several weeks.
